This is our first full winter season in the US – particularly Santa Cruz, California.
The surf-vibe town that usually has me thinking of beach and sunny days put on a bit of a show this winter with a hell of a lot of rain and cold.
We had:
- Trees down all over the county
- Beach areas flooding, big surf, levies breaking and flooding towns
- Power outages (over and over and over)
- And snow… even at Santa Cruz boardwalk on the beach!
It’s been wild.
Anyway, we were at a friend’s place recently and I’m now slightly obsessed with this fire pit/barrel/drum that they got from Costco (Solo Stove Yukon 1.0 @ about US$280). I plan on owning one by next winter.
